DescriptionHip-Hop music exists as one of the most explosive and expansive phenomenon's to date and possibly ever. This multi-faceted artistic form has been instrumental in giving a voice to those who typically come from disenfranchised backgrounds while also providing the world with some of the latest fashion trends and styles. My intentions of my Capstone project are to show the impact to which the music and culture had had on generations and to illustrate some of the highs and lows of the music culture. In attempting to cover this broad topic, I plan to examine the events, personalities and societal circumstances that have shaped the music and to also examine what direction the culture is moving towards.
